How to Screenshot on an HP Laptop?

HP laptops run Windows, so you take screenshots using Windows' built-in methods — there's no special HP-only button. Here are the main ways.

Method 1 — Snipping Tool (best, most flexible):

• Press Windows key + Shift + S. The screen dims and a small toolbar appears at the top.
• Choose rectangular, freeform, window, or full-screen capture, then drag to select.
• The screenshot copies to your clipboard and shows a notification — click it to annotate and save.

Method 2 — Print Screen key (whole screen):

• Press PrtScn (sometimes labeled "prt sc"). This copies the entire screen to the clipboard.
• Paste it (Ctrl + V) into an app like Paint, Word, or an email to save or edit it.

Method 3 — Windows + PrtScn (auto-save):

• Press Windows key + PrtScn. The screen dims briefly and the screenshot is automatically saved as a file in Pictures → Screenshots.
