How to Clear the Clipboard?

Windows

• If clipboard history is on: Press Windows key + V to open clipboard history, then click "Clear all" (or the three-dot menu → Clear all) to wipe everything. You can also delete individual items.
• The basic clipboard (last copied item): Simply copy something harmless — like a single space or a random letter — to overwrite whatever was there. Restarting the PC also clears the basic clipboard.

Mac

• macOS has no clipboard-clearing button, so the trick is to overwrite it: select a small blank space or single character and press Cmd + C. That replaces the previous clipboard contents.
• Restarting the Mac also clears it.

iPhone/iPad

• There's no built-in clipboard manager, so copy something trivial (like a single character) to overwrite the last copied item. The clipboard also clears itself after a while and on restart.

Android

• Open any text field, tap and hold, and open the clipboard from the keyboard (e.g., the Gboard clipboard icon). From there you can delete items or clear all saved clips. Otherwise, copy something trivial to overwrite the current clip.

Why clear it? Mainly for privacy — so sensitive things you copied (like passwords or card numbers) aren't sitting in the clipboard where another app could read them.
