How to Cancel an Audible Membership?

You cancel an Audible membership through the website in a browser — you generally can't cancel from inside the Audible app itself. (If you subscribed through Apple, you cancel via your Apple subscriptions instead.)

Accounts & Subscriptions

Cancel on the Audible website (desktop or mobile browser)

  1. Go to audible.com and sign in to your account.
  2. Hover over (or tap) your name / Account Details.
  3. Find Membership and select Cancel Membership (sometimes under "View Membership Details" or "Manage Membership").
  4. You'll be asked why you're leaving and may be offered a pause, a discount, or to bank your credits — choose to continue canceling if you still want to cancel.
  5. Confirm the cancellation. You should get a confirmation on screen and by email.

If you subscribed through Apple (iТunes): Cancel on your iPhone via Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Audible → Cancel Subscription.

If through Amazon/Google Play: Manage it in that account's subscriptions section.

Good to know

  • You keep the audiobooks you've already purchased — titles bought with credits or money are yours to keep even after canceling.
  • Unused credits usually expire when the membership ends, so use them before you cancel.
  • Cancel before your next billing date to avoid being charged for another month; access typically continues until the end of the paid period.
