How to practice: use real objects and hide-and-find games — put a toy under a chair and ask "where is it?" Answer with the child at first ("It's under the chair!") so they hear the place words. Use pictures for kids who aren't speaking much yet, and keep it playful. A few questions during clean-up or a walk work better than a long sit-down drill.
